Certificate of your status as a foreigner in Moldova

For foreign nationals in Moldova who are asked to prove their status, for example to open a bank account, enrol a child in kindergarten or school, or register a company. The certificate confirms your IDNP, ID document, registered address and family.

Good to know

  • It costs 100 lei and is issued on the day you apply.
  • You are often asked for it by public services and other bodies, for example when you open a bank account, enrol a child in kindergarten or school, or register your own company.
  • It confirms four things: that you have been given a state ID number (IDNP) from the State Population Register; whether an identity document has been issued to you; whether you have a registered home address or residence; and who is in your family.
