Registration or re-registration of freelancer activity

Registering or resuming the state records of independent entrepreneurs (freelancers) is a public service that allows an individual:

• to officially register the independent economic activity in the field of providing services that they carry out on their own, or
• to resume the activity of independent entrepreneur (freelancer) after the Termination of freelancer activity.

Registration in the state records of independent entrepreneurs is carried out exclusively online and consists of assigning the state identification number IDNO and entering in the State Register of Legal Entities (RSUD) the data on the initial registration, in order to ensure their official records.

Resumption in the state records of independent entrepreneurs is carried out exclusively online and consists of entering in the RSUD, on the basis of the IDNO previously assigned to the Independent entrepreneur, the data on the reactivation of freelancer status.

After the registration or resumption of freelancer activity, the information is sent automatically to the State Tax Service, the National Bureau of Statistics, the National Health Insurance Company and the National Social Insurance House. The status of the registration of the Independent entrepreneur can be checked in the Personal Cabinet on the EVO government portal.

Who can request the service, and under what conditions?

You can request the service if:

• you have reached the age of 18;
• you hold an electronic signature;
• you hold a valid identity document (identity card or identity card).
