Good to know
- Unemployment benefit is a monthly payment for people who lost their job or are registered as unemployed. It gives temporary financial support until they find a new job.
- CNAS pays it monthly for 5, 7 or 9 months, depending on the legal conditions you meet. The amount is set by the National Social Insurance House from your contribution record and earlier income.
- To get the benefit you must meet all the conditions under “Who can get the benefit?”.
- Once the decision is approved, you are treated as having the right from the day you registered as unemployed. CNAS pays within 30 days.
