Getting married in Moldova: what you need and how long it takes

To marry in Moldova you apply at a civil status office, and the marriage is registered after a waiting time. If you are a Moldovan citizen marrying abroad, you need a different document. Each step below links to the full guide.

    If one of you is a foreigner, the documents include a certificate of civil status and a residence permit for Moldova. Documents issued abroad need an apostille or super-legalisation and a notarised Romanian translation, unless an international treaty says otherwise.
