Ask a questionA criminal record certificate is a document issued by the authorities of the Republic of Moldova that reflects a person's judicial situation. It can also be requested at the Diplomatic Missions and Consular Offices of the Republic of Moldova.
Documents needed for the application:
For Moldovan citizens: international passport, identity card or electronic identity card.
For foreign citizens: passport.
Clarifications:
- any foreign citizen can request a criminal record certificate issued by the Republic of Moldova.
- the criminal record certificate can be issued in Romanian, English or the language of the country of residence, on request.
- the certificate is issued by MDOC after the information is checked by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Moldova.
- the criminal record certificate issued by MDOC is recognised by the competent authorities of the state of residence
- the criminal record certificate is valid for 3 months from the date of issue, and this period cannot be extended.
