Travel certificate for your pet (leaving Moldova)

For pet owners who take a dog, cat or other pet across the Moldovan border for non-commercial reasons, such as a holiday or a move abroad.

Good to know

  • The certificate costs 151 lei and is issued on the day you apply.
  • It is an official document of the National Food Safety Agency (ANSA) that allows a pet to cross the border of Moldova for non-commercial reasons.
  • You need the pet's own passport with its microchip number and its rabies vaccination details, a laboratory report on the rabies antibody test, and a record of a clinical check by a vet.
  • Check the entry rules of the country you are travelling to as well. ANSA publishes a guide on the non-commercial movement of pets.
