Starting a business in Moldova: choose a form and register it

To start a business in Moldova you first choose a form: a sole proprietor, a company, a patent or a non-profit organisation. Each is registered in its own way. Each step below links to the full guide.

Steps, in order

  1. Choose the form of your business

    Check and reserve the company name

    A company needs a reserved name before registration. A reserved name stays yours for a limited time, so you can finish the registration.

    Register the company

    Register an SRL or a joint-stock company in the State Register of Legal Entities. The standard service takes 24 hours, and an urgent one takes 4 hours.

    Or register as a sole proprietor

    You can register from 18, as a Moldovan citizen or as a foreigner who is a resident of Moldova. The tax, statistics, health and social registrations are done for you by the authorities.
