How to apply

  1. Submit the application

    The application is submitted at the counter of the territorial subdivisions of the PSA.

  2. Identification and expert examination of the vehicle

    Registration, except for temporary registration for tests, is carried out only for motor vehicles and trailers identified and checked by a vehicle identification expert, whose tasks include:

    • attesting that the main identification elements of the vehicle (the body number, the chassis number and the engine number) are original and/or have not been subject to unauthorised modifications;
    • attesting the identity of the vehicle against the data given in its registration certificate;
    • attesting that the standard form of the document confirming the previous registration of the vehicle, issued by the competent authorities of the country of origin, is authentic (only for vehicles presented for first registration in the Republic of Moldova).

    The results of the identification are given in the vehicle identification report and are valid for 30 working days. After this period expires, the vehicle is subject to repeated identification.

  3. Pay for the service

    The service can be paid:

    • online, through MPay or the Payments module in EVO;
    • at the counter, by POS terminal;
    • through payment terminals;
    • at bank branches.
  4. Receiving the registration certificate and the registration plates

    The registration certificate and the registration plates are issued at the counter of the territorial subdivisions of the PSA.

    While the registration certificate on a polycarbonate support is being made, the beneficiary will be issued the temporary registration certificate.
